Masked female uses bank card left in machine to steal cash, please help identify suspect

Strathcona County, Alberta – Strathcona County RCMP are investigating a theft where a suspect used a bank card left in an ATM bank machine accidently left behind by the victim.

On Feb. 1, 2021 at 6:30 a.m., the victim attended an ATM on Bethel Drive in Sherwood Park, Alta. to check his account balance. Once inside the vehicle the victim realized he did not have his bank card and returned to the vestibule to retrieve the card from the ATM.

A female who had been allegedly sleeping inside the vestibule provided the victim his bank card. The victim checked his account immediately upon retrieving his bank card and realized an undisclosed sum of money was missing from his account.

Video surveillance determined the female inside was responsible for the withdrawal.

The masked female was wearing an large beige jacket with fur hood, black hat and black boots. The female also has a noticeable limp specific to her right foot.
