St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – With the announcement by the Chief Medical Officer of Health that areas in the province other than the Avalon Peninsula would move to COVID-19 ALERT LEVEL 4 effective February 27, 2021, RCMP NL Detachments outside of the Avalon region are now open for front counter services such as certificates of conduct, criminal records checks, vulnerable sector checks and fingerprinting. Members of the public are reminded to adhere to public health measures, including the wearing of masks.
Front counter services remain suspended at RCMP Headquarters in St. John’s and Detachments located on the Avalon Peninsula, which remains at ALERT LEVEL 5. Persons required to report to any of these RCMP locations by court order should contact that specific RCMP Detachment or Headquarters by telephone for instructions. Reports of crime and motor vehicle collisions should also be done by telephone. For emergencies, call 911.
