New Brunswick man charged with attempted murder following stabbing incident

Dieppe, New Brunswick – A 34-year-old man from Havelock, N.B., has been charged with attempted murder and other offences following a stabbing incident in Dieppe.

Ryan Reynolds appeared in Moncton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand on March 10, and was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault.

On March 9, 2021, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to an incident at 1855 Champlain Street where a 43-year-old man had been stabbed. He was transported to hospital, treated and released.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving. His vehicle was located shortly after at the intersection of Champlain Street and Dieppe Boulevard where he was arrested without incident.

Ryan Reynolds was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on March 12 at 1:30 p.m., for a bail hearing.
