Cochrane RCMP seize loaded handgun and drugs after stop of suspicious vehicle leads to arrest of 3 individuals from Calgary

Cochrane, Alberta – On March 15 th 2021 Cochrane RCMP received a call from an off duty police officer of suspicious people in a parking lot off of Highway 1a in the town of Cochrane. Cochrane RCMP officers attempted to stop the vehicle which rammed a police car in an attempt to escape. Officers we able to quickly surround the vehicle and successfully stop it. All three occupants were arrested and a search of the vehicle revealed quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and a loaded 9mm hand gun.

RCMP have charged Deng Keuch 23 years old of Calgary with 20 offences including weapons possession, possession of stolen property, possession of drugs, and 8 breaches of release conditions. Keuch was remanded in custody for Court on March 23rd 2021 in Cochrane.

RCMP have charged Mark Ture 21 years old of Calgary with 11 offences including possession of drugs, weapons possession, 5 breaches of release conditions, driving offences, and assault with a weapon on a police officer. Ture was remanded in custody for Court on March 23rd 2021 in Cochrane.

RCMP have charged Gach Manyel age 22 of Calgary with 9 offences including possession of drugs, weapons possession, and 4 breaches of release conditions. Manyel was released on $1000 cash bail with conditions for court on March 30th 2021 in Calgary.

“These three individuals presented a very real danger to the community,” says Corporal Troy Savnkoff of the Cochrane RCMP,” We are thankful that we were able to disrupt whatever plans they may have had.”
