Parkland RCMP arrest two after locating stolen vehicle

Wabamun, Alberta – On March 19, 2021 at 3:00 a.m., Parkland RCMP were advised that Air One, from the Edmonton Police Service, was following a vehicle that had been stolen out of Edmonton. Parkland RCMP attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, however, the driver of the vehicle refused to stop for police.

Air One continued to follow and advised the suspect vehicle entered the hamlet of Wabamun. Using covert methods, the RCMP were able to successfully disable the vehicle. Two suspects fled the scene on foot and were apprehended after RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) were deployed.

The female suspect, Taylor Robulak (34) from Iron Springs, Alta. and Royston Watson (37) from Golden, B.C. are charged with:

Flight from peace officer

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

Both are scheduled to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on May 12, 2021.
