Selkirk RCMP respond to report of man falling through ice, 52-year-old pronounced deceased

Selkirk, Manitoba – On March 21, 2021, at approximately 12:15 PM, Selkirk RCMP received a report that a male was seen walking on the ice about 50-100 meters from shore when he fell through the ice into the Red River at Memorial Park in Selkirk, Manitoba. RCMP attended, along with local fire and EMS.

The 52-year-old male was located and brought to shore by the Selkirk Fire Department, where he was treated by EMS. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
