Airdrie RCMP charge BC woman for Fraud Over $5000 and Fraudulent use of Credit Card data

Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP have arrested and charged Alexandra Beckow (40 yrs), of Surrey, B.C, for Fraud Over $5000 and 4 counts of Fraudulent use of Credit Card data.

In May of 2019, Airdrie RCMP initiated an investigation into a fraud. Following a media release of Beckow’s arrest as a result of selling fraudulent travel vouchers, Airdrie RCMP received additional complaints of the same nature. The victims reported they had purchased travel vouchers from Beckow or had fraudulent charges on their credit cards.

After an extensive investigation spanning 18 months, forty-seven (47) additional victims from Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario were identified. The victims were defrauded of an amount over $250,000. Alexandra Beckow was arrested in Surrey, British Columbia and transported back to Alberta on March 18, 2021.

Beckow’s bail hearing is scheduled for March 24, 2021.
