Didsbury RCMP execute search warrant resulting in the seizure of $70,000 in drugs and $15,000 in cash, male from Calgary Arrested

Didsbury, Alberta – Didsbury RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in the Town of Didsbury, on Sunday March 21. An extensive search was conducted and evidence was seized by police.

Omar Ibrahim Sail (23) of Calgary, Alta was arrested and is facing the following charges:

2 charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

1 charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

6 charges of Failing to Comply with Release Conditions, et al.

The drugs seized by police are suspected to be 725 grams of cocaine, 101 grams of fentanyl, and 9 grams of methamphetamine.

The drugs seized by police are suspected to be 725 grams of cocaine, 101 grams of fentanyl, and 9 grams of methamphetamine. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $70, 000. Police also seized $15, 000 in cash.

Omar Sail has been remanded in police custody and is scheduled to appear in Didsbury Provincial Court on March 29, 2021.

“This is another significant drug bust in the area in the last few months. The disruption in criminal activity has had a profound effect on the community,” said Staff Sgt. Chad Fournier, Didsbury RCMP.
