23-year-old Piccadilly, N.L. resident arrested for impaired driving on ATV, ride seized

Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador – Bay St. George RCMP seized this ATV in Piccadilly on March 27, 2021, after arresting the operator for impaired driving.  A 23-year-old Piccadilly man was arrested on Saturday morning, March 27, 2021, for impaired driving and his all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was seized.

At approximately 9:15 a.m., a Bay St. George police officer on patrol on Main Road in Piccadilly observed the ATV being operated on the road. The officer approached the driver when he stopped at a local store. The driver showed signs of impairment and failed a roadside breath test. He was arrested and transported to the detachment where he provided breath samples that were above the legal limit. He was released to appear in court at a later date on charges of impaired driving.
