UPDATE: Four victims shot in three different locations on O’Chiese First Nation, two suspects in custody

O’Chiese First Nation, Alberta –  (9:26 pm) On April 5,  2021 at 5:34 pm Rocky Mountain House RCMP were dispatched to a shooting on the O’Chiese First Nation.  Responding officers soon discovered that 4 victims  in 3 different locations had been shot. Additional resources including the RCMP Emergency Response Team were deployed to support local officers.

Two suspects have been taken into custody and police believe the threat to the community is now over.

Additional RCMP resources have been dispatched to investigate this tragic event.

All 4 victims are believed to have non life threatening injuries. The identity of the victims and suspects are not being released at this time. Further details will be release once charges have been laid.


O’Chiese First Nation, Alberta – (6:58 PM) Presently RCMP are deploying to O’Chiese First Nation to an active threat to the community. Police are asking all residents of the O’Chiese First Nation to stay indoors as police respond. Few details are know at this time. Further releases will be sent out as the situation progresses.
