Didsbury RCMP investigate sudden deaths of man and woman

The preliminary findings indicate that the manner of death of the 64-year-old male died by suicide.

Cremona, Alberta – On March 31, 2021 at approximately 7 p.m., Didsbury RCMP responded to a rural residence for a 911 call of a sudden death. An adult male and adult female, both deceased were located on the rural property.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit along with RCMP Forensic Identification Services were called in to assist with the investigation.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on April 1, 2021. The preliminary findings indicate that the manner of death of the 64-year-old male died by suicide. The manner of death of the 65-year-old female was undetermined. There are no suspects being sought by police and no risk to the public.

Both subjects resided together on the property.

There will be no charges as a result of this investigation, and no further information will be provided in relation to the deceased persons’ identities or circumstances surrounding the deaths.
