Grande Prairie RCMP on scene at single vehicle collision, Township Road 732 East of Highway 2 – UPDATED

Grande Prairie Rural RCMP officers are currently on scene at a single vehicle collision involving a pickup truck.

Grande Prairie, Alta. – (7:31 PM) At approximately 6:02 p.m. Grande Prairie Rural RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision Highway 2 and Township Road 732.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a pickup travelling on Highway 2, left the highway through a field onto Township 732 ending up in a ditch. The 48-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Grande Prairie RCMP advise that Township Road 732 is now re-opened to traffic.

The collision remains under investigation by the Grande Prairie RCMP.

BACKGROUND

Grande Prairie, Alberta – (6:51 PM) Grande Prairie Rural RCMP officers are currently on scene at a single vehicle collision involving a pickup truck. The collision took place in the area of Highway 2 and Township Road 732. The driver of the truck was transported to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

Township Road 732 East of Highway 2 is blocked and traffic is currently being diverted from the location. RCMP are advising motorists travelling in the area to expect delays and to choose an alternate route.
