Wood Buffalo RCMP drug investigation leads to charges

On April 28, two individuals were arrested in the downtown area of Fort McMurray, following a drug trafficking investigation led by the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section in collaboration with the Crime Reduction Unit.

Fort McMurray, Alberta – On April 28, two individuals were arrested in the downtown area of Fort McMurray, following a drug trafficking investigation led by the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section in collaboration with the Crime Reduction Unit. As a result of the investigation police seized suspected Fentanyl, Percocet pills and a quantity of Canadian Currency.

Richard Bruce Thompson (33) of Fort McMurray, is facing the following charges:

Trafficking Fentanyl

Trafficking Percocet

Possession for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl

Possession for the purpose of trafficking Percocet

Possession of property obtained by crime

Fail to comply with condition of release

Pearl Edna Deltess (32) of Fort McMurray, is facing the following charges:

Trafficking Fentanyl

Trafficking Percocet

Possession of property obtained by crime

Thompson and Deltess were held in police custody for a Judicial Hearing on April 29, 2021. Both have since been released and are scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on May 25, 2021.
