Beaumont RCMP charge Edmonton male for theft of truck at Edmonton International Airport

On May 12, 2021, with the assistance of RCMP Auto-theft Unit and Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the Ellerslie area of Edmonton, Alta.

Leduc, Alberta – On April 28 2021, Beaumont RCMP General Investigation Section received a complaint from a Beaumont resident who had unknowingly purchased a truck that was later determined to be stolen from the Edmonton International Airport.

On May 12, 2021, with the assistance of RCMP Auto-theft Unit and Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the Ellerslie area of Edmonton, Alta.

David Wood (23) of Edmonton was charged with the following:

· Theft of truck

· Trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5000.

· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

· Possession of break-in instruments

· Unauthorized possession of a weapon

· Fraud over $5000.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Wood was released from custody to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on May 27, 2021.
