Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that took place in northeast Edmonton this evening.
At approximately 5:13 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Northeast Division officers responded to the report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of 146 Avenue and 29 Street.
It was reported to police that a Ford SUV was reversing on a residential driveway when it struck a female pedestrian who was standing behind it.

EMS responded, treated and transported the 47-year-old female pedestrian to hospital; however, she succumb to her injuries. The male inside the vehicle did not report any injuries.
EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) continues to investigate. Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in this collision.
