Leduc RCMP lay charges related to theft at Edmonton International Airport

On April 5, 2021, Leduc RCMP received a complaint of a stolen truck at the Edmonton International Airport.

Leduc, Alberta – On April 5, 2021, Leduc RCMP received a complaint of a stolen truck at the Edmonton International Airport.

Following an investigation, a male suspect was identified and arrested on April 30 and his truck was seized.

On May 4, 2021, with the assistance of RCMP Auto-Theft Unit, a search warrant was executed on the seized truck and police recovered stolen vehicle parts.

Kevin Bird (41) of Leduc was charged with the following:

· Theft over $5000.

· Possession of stolen property over $5000.

· Fail to comply with release order condition

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Bird was held in custody to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on June 4, 2021.
