Bonnyville RCMP GIS drug investigation results in male charged and on warrant

On May 12, 2021, Bonnyville RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), with assistance from Cold Lake GIS and Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant under the controlled drugs and substances act at a residence in the Town of Bonnyville.

Bonnyville, Alberta – On May 12, 2021, Bonnyville RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), with assistance from Cold Lake GIS and Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant under the controlled drugs and substances act at a residence in the Town of Bonnyville.

This was the end result of a targeted drug investigation into drug trafficking which resulted in police seizing 6 grams of Fentanyl, a .308 calibre rifle, $450 cash and electronics associated to the sale of drugs in the community. One female was arrested on scene and released without charge and Darryl R Lambert (34) of Bonnyville, is facing charges for:

· Possession of a controlled substance

· Unauthorized possession of a firearm

· Unsafe storage of a firearm

· Failing to comply with a release order condition (x2)

The Bonnyville RCMP have been unable to locate Lambert and have obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Darryl R Lambert (34) is described as:

· 5’9” tall

· 185 lbs

· Brown hair

· Hazel eyes
