UPDATE: Saskatchewan chiropractor facing six additional sexual assault charges

Regina, Saskatchewan – A 45 year-old Emerald Park male is facing more charges of sexual assault after investigation into allegations involving a chiropractor, during his practice in Regina. The suspect individual was already facing two charges of sexual assault from a previous arrest on April 13, 2021.

Forty-five year-old Dr. Ruben Adam MANZ, of Emerald Park, SK., was arrested on May 20, 2021, and is charged with six additional counts of Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code. Dr MANZ was released on conditions, with a court date of August 10, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.

BACKGROUND April 14, 2021

A 45 year-old Emerald Park male is facing charges of sexual assault after investigation into allegations involving a chiropractor, during his practice in Regina.

These incidents involve two adult female victims. In the case of one victim, the offences are alleged to have occurred between January 28, 2012 and June 1, 2016. The Regina Police Service received these allegations on April 7, 2021. The second victim contacted Regina Police on April 10, 2021, to make report of alleged sexual offences between April, 2019 and August, 2019. In each of these instances, the victims reported inappropriate and unwanted actions by the same male suspect in the course of chiropractic treatments. The actions described could not be categorized as a necessary part of the treatment sought by the victims. Investigation into these matters led to the arrest, on April 13, 2021, of a 45 year-old Emerald Park male.
