Two trucks meet head-on south of Trochu on Alberta Highway 21

Three Hills, Alberta – On May 27, 2021 at 8:12 a.m., Three Hills RCMP responded to a three vehicle collision on Highway 21 just south of Trochu, Alta.

Preliminary investigation revealed a truck was travelling northbound on Highway 21 when it crossed the centerline and collided head on with a truck travelling southbound. During the collision, a third truck was also damaged.

The driver of the northbound vehicle a 49-year-old male from Three Hills, Alta. was transported to hospital by STARS. The driver of the southbound vehicle a 30-year-old male from Red Deer, Alta. was taken to hospital by ambulance. The driver of the third vehicle involved did not sustain any injuries.

Three Hills RCMP and RCMP Collision Analyst are investigating the cause of this collision.

Three Hills RCMP on scene at serious collision on Highway 21

Three Hills, Alta. – Three Hills RCMP officers are currently on scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 21 just south of Trochu, Alta.

A detour has been set up around the collision scene.

RCMP are advising motorists travelling in the area to expect delays and to choose an alternate route if possible.

Three Hills RCMP continue to investigate. An update will be provided when more information becomes available.
