Airdrie RCMP arrest and charge Airdrie male for aggravated assault of a 20 month old toddler

Airdrie, Alberta – On Mar 8, 2021, Airdrie RCMP were alerted that a toddler was injured and required medical attention. The subsequent investigation revealed that the toddler’s severe injury was the result of an assault believed to have been caused by a male who lived in the residence with the toddler.

On May 28, 2021, Airdrie RCMP arrested and charged a 27 year old Airdrie male with Aggravated Assault. The name of the male is not being released to protect the identity of the victim. His first court appearance is June 24, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Airdrie Provincial court.
