Nelson House RCMP investigate after fire hall goes up in flames

On June 3, 2021, at approximately 5:30 pm, Nelson House RCMP officers on patrol observed smoke coming from the direction of the local fire hall, on Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.

Nelson House, Manitoba – On June 3, 2021, at approximately 5:30 pm, Nelson House RCMP officers on patrol observed smoke coming from the direction of the local fire hall, on Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.

Officers immediately responded and found the fire hall engulfed in flames. The fire department was on scene extinguishing the fire.

No one was injured.

At this time the fire does not appear to be suspicious.

Nelson House RCMP along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, continue to investigate.
