Rockland, New Brunswick – The New Brunswick RCMP has arrested two individuals and seized firearms and drugs as part of an ongoing investigation in Rockland, N.B., near Hartland.
On June 11, 2021, at approximately 1:45 p.m., members of the Western Valley Region detachment along with members of the New Brunswick RCMP’s Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit (TTEU) executed a search warrant at a home on McBurney Road. During the search, police seized firearms, including one that was loaded and another that was prohibited. Police also seized what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine and cocaine.
A 35-year-old man from Rockland was arrested at the scene. He remains in custody and will appear in court on June 12. A 49-year-old man from Ashland was also arrested at the scene on an unrelated matter and was later released.
