Strathmore RCMP execute search warrant for cannabis production; “roughly valued at $544,000”

Strathmore, Alberta – On June 14, 2021, Strathmore RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural property south of Langdon, Alta. In relation to an on-going cannabis production investigation.

544 illicit cannabis plants were seized as a result of the search. The plants are roughly valued at $544,000.

Doug Ho (49), Sau Va Ho (82), and Xian Nong (38), are all from Calgary and have each been charged with the following:

· Possession for the Purpose of Distribution

· Cultivation of illicit cannabis in a place that is not their dwelling house

· Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence (x4 for each accused)

· Fraud over $5,000.

Doug Ho and Sau Va Ho are additionally charged with writing a false statement.
