UPDATE: Leduc RCMP release composite sketch in bid to identify Armed Robbery Suspect

Leduc, Alberta – Leduc RCMP are releasing a composite sketch of a suspect they are trying to identify in relation to the June 16th armed robbery at Giant Tiger.

Leduc RCMP is still looking to speak with the driver of the truck to confirm their wellbeing. The truck is described as a dark grey Chevrolet Silverado 1500, model LTZ Z71. The suspect was observed getting into the truck in the area of 50th Street and 64th Avenue in Leduc.

Leduc RCMP request assistance to locate truck, identify robbery suspect- UPDATE

Leduc, Alta. – Leduc RCMP continue to investigate the June 16th incident.

Leduc RCMP are looking to speak with the driver of the truck. It is unknown if the driver willingly provided assistance to the suspect. However, it is known that the suspect was armed, therefore the Leduc RCMP have serious concerns for the wellbeing of the driver of the vehicle and would like to speak with this person.

Leduc RCMP’s investigation has resulted in further details about the suspect vehicle. It is believed to be:

· 2016-2018

· Chevrolet Silverado 1500

· Model LTZ Z71

· Dark grey

Leduc RCMP request assistance to locate truck, identify robbery suspect

Leduc, Alta. – On June 16th, 2021 at approximately 1:25 p.m., Leduc RCMP responded to an armed robbery that occurred at the Giant Tiger in Leduc, Alta.

A lone male entered the store, approached the clerks, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The clerks were not physically injured.

The male suspect left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Leduc RCMP responded immediately to the scene and began patrols looking for the suspect.

A witness informed the police that the male suspect got into the passenger side of a truck in the area of 50th Street and 64th Avenue in Leduc, Alta.

The truck is described as a dark coloured Chevrolet Silverado quad cab with a blacked out Chevrolet symbol.

Leduc RCMP would like to speak with the driver of the truck about the incident to ensure their safety.

Extensive patrols were made by Leduc RCMP with the assistance of Leduc Integrated Traffic Unit, Devon RCMP and Central Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as:

· Caucasian male

· Approximately 6’- 6’3”

· Thin build

· Clean shaven

· Wearing dark blue jeans and a blue shirt

The investigation is still in it’s early stages and more information will be provided once more is known.
