Parkland RCMP investigate hit and run incident involving a family’s dog

Parkland County, Alberta – On Saturday June 26, 2021 at about 4:00 PM, Parkland RCMP were called to a complaint of a hit and run where a vehicle hit a family pet. The incident has left a family morning the loss of their beloved pet, which happened in the area of Highway 627 and Range Road 34 in Parkland County. The family were out for a walk on the Range Road with their two dogs. As the vehicle approached, one of the dogs was hit when it got close to the vehicle. The driver stopped very briefly and then left the area.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer, white sports car with damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

The driver is described as a Caucasian male, shorter in height, slender build, with a full but trim beard.

Police would like to speak with the driver of the vehicle as part of the investigation.
