Man charged with sexual assault on Edmonton transit; police believe there may be additional complainants

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 22-year-old man in relation to two alleged sexual assaults on strangers that occurred on transit in recent weeks.

On June 21, 2021, the male suspect reportedly rode on an ETS bus and sat next to a female complainant and then began sexually assaulting her.

On July 3, 2021, the male suspect reportedly got on an LRT train, sat next to a sleeping female and sexually assaulted her. ETS Security alerted police, and the accused was detained nearby.

The EPS Southwest Investigation Response Section has charged Jakob Edward Logan-Halfe, 22, with sexual assault (x2) and breaching conditions of probation (x2).
