Edmonton Police seek public’s assistance to identify robbery suspect

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service’s Robbery Section is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male suspect in connection to the armed robbery of a convenience store in June.

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a lone male entered Jacky’s Food Store at 6932 104 St. It was reported to police that the male walked behind the counter, demanded cash and cigarettes then threatened the lone clerk with a knife.

The male suspect (see images below) fled the store on foot with several hundred dollars in stolen cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 40 and 50 years of age, thin build, 5’4” – 5’5”, 130-140 lbs with a greying beard. He was wearing a black ball cap and a black top with a Hockey Canada logo on the right side with a white zipper and a grey hoody underneath. He was also wearing blue jeans, running shoes with white soles and horizontal reflective stripes.
