Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s help in identifying four suspects involved in a targeted shooting Tuesday morning.
At approximately 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, Downtown Division patrol members responded to a weapons complaint outside of a temporary shelter near 99 Street and 106 Avenue.
Upon arrival, it was reported to police that multiple suspects in a red Chevy Camaro drove up to the shelter, exited the vehicle, then engaged in a verbal dispute with a male complainant staying in a nearby tent. One of the suspects then reportedly pulled out a firearm and shot the complainant, before all four individuals fled the scene in the Camaro.

Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted offence, as the suspects and victim are known to each other. The suspects are described as three non-white males and one non-white female in their late 20s to early 30s. The suspect vehicle (see images below) is described as a newer model red Chevrolet Camaro with black steel wheels and a black stripe on the front quarter panel.
Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding the suspects and/or the whereabouts of the red Chevy Camaro to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
