Athabasca RCMP respond to a structure fire in Athabasca

Athabasca, Alberta – On Aug. 11, shortly before 7 p.m., a report of a structure fire was reported in downtown Athabasca, near the intersection of 50 Street and 50 Avenue, to which Athabasca RCMP and Athabasca Fire Department responded. At this time, it is believed no one was harmed by the fire. The immediate area was controlled by police and the Town of Athabasca Bylaw for public safety, while the Athabasca, Colinton, Boyle and Grassland Fire Departments worked on extinguishing the fire.

Provincial Fire Investigators have been engaged to assist in this investigation.
