Parkland RCMP Investigate Motorcycle Fatal Collision

Wabamun, Alberta – (august 16, 2021 1:08 PM) On August 14, 2021 at about 10:50 PM, Parkland RCMP, Parkland Fire and EMS responded to a single vehicle motorcycle collision on the overpass of Range Road 40B (Wabamun Exit) and highway 16 west.

A male and female both in their 30’s were on the motorcycle and had exited off of highway 16 onto Range Road 40B heading west bound. Upon initial examination, it appears the male driver of the motorcycle failed to see a concrete median with signs at the intersection of the overpass. The driver reacted too late and lost control of the motorcycle causing both him and the female passenger to fall off while the motorcycle was moving toward the median.
