Lethbridge Police charge two in connection with stabbing incident

Lethbridge, Alberta – (Aug. 17, 2021 1:23 PM) Lethbridge Police have charged two individuals after responding to a report of a stabbing Monday, Aug. 16, 2021.

Police responded to the report about 6 a.m. and upon arrival at neighbouring residences in the 200-block of Mt Crandell Crescent West located two individuals suffering from stab wounds. Two males, aged 31 and 32, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation was turned over to the Violent Crimes Unit, which determined the incident involved a dispute among individuals known to each other.

One of the injured males, 31-year-old Dexter Lewis Scout of Lethbridge, has been charged with: housebreaking and commit aggravated assault; housebreak/commit assault with a weapon; mischief under $5,000; and possession of a weapon. He remains in custody while awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

Ross Gary Scout, 35, of Lethbridge, has been charged with: housebreaking and commit aggravated assault; housebreak/commit assault with a weapon; unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon; and possession of a controlled substance. He remains in custody while awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
