Cochrane RCMP make significant drug seizure during traffic stop

Cochrane, Alberta – (19-Aug-2021 1:55 PM) On July 17,2021, Cochrane RCMP received a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 1 and Highway 40. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. While speaking to the occupants, officers became suspicious of drug activity in the vehicle. After a short investigation, officers arrested both occupants for possession of a controlled substance. A search incidental to arrest resulted in the seizure of 228.8 grams of heroine and 22.8 grams of methamphetamine.

Harvinder Randhawa (43) and Charanjit Gandham (35), both from Airdrie, Alta., have been charged with 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.
