Autopsy confirms young male found in Mill Woods Park was murdered

Edmonton, Alberta – (02-Sep-2021 @ 1:59 PM) Autopsy results released by the Edmonton Medical Examiner have confirmed that the death of a 19-year-old male last weekend is a homicide.

The Medical Examiner also confirmed that Jordan Dawson, 19, of Edmonton, died from a stab wound.

At approximately 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, police received a report that a body had been discovered in a greenspace in the area of 66 Street and 23 Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located Dawson’s body.

EPS Homicide Section investigators are releasing photos of the deceased today (see below) with hopes someone may have seen this young man in or around Mill Woods Park sometime Saturday prior to his death.
