Missing woman died as a result of the injuries sustained from a motor vehicle collision: Rocky Mountain House RCMP

Rocky Mountain House, Alberta – (8-Sept-2021 1:13 PM) The investigation into the death of Crystal Whitford determined that she died as a result of the injuries sustained from a motor vehicle collision.

Donnelly Strawberry (27) from the O’Chiese First Nation has been charged with Manslaughter.

Strawberry was arrested and after a Judicial Interim Release Hearing was remanded and is next scheduled to appear on Sept. 8, 2021 in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court.

As these matters are now before the courts, no further updates will be provided.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP seek the public’s assistance in locating missing female – Update located deceased

Rocky Mountain House, Alta. – On July 21, 2021, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue and Rocky Mountain House RCMP located a deceased female, tentatively identified as the missing 41-year-old female, Crystal Whitford, on the O’Chiese First Nation, Alta. RCMP continue to remain in the area.

RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding Crystal’s death and are asking anyone who may have seen her, or who may have information, to contact Rocky Mountain RCMP at 403-845-2882 or your local police. Rocky Mountain House RCMP seek the public’s assistance in locating missing female

Rocky Mountain House, Alta. – Rocky Mountain House RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Crystal Whitford (41) of O’Chiese First Nation, who has been reported missing. Crystal was last seen when she left her home on the night of Sunday, July 18, 2021, at approximately 6 p.m. She was last seen walking on a path in the woods near her home on O’Chiese First Nation.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP have coordinated a search of the area with the assistance of Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue and O’Chiese Fire and Rescue; however, Crystal has not been located.

Crystal Whitford is described as:

5’6″ tall

130 lbs

Thin build

Long dark hair down her back

Brown eyes

Indigenous female

Crystal was last known to be wearing dark clothing.
