Camrose Police Service Report to September 14, 2021

Camrose, Alberta – September 14, 2021 – A male reported that his bicycle had been stolen from a second floor balcony on 53 street in the 4900 block. The bicycle was a blue Santa Cruz Tallboy.

A female advised that her detached garage had been broken into on 51 street in the 5200 block. Numerous items were stolen including a Fitech fuel ignition system.

A 2021 Ram 3500 that was stolen from Camrose was recovered between Three Hills and Stettler where it had run out of fuel. Police have developed a possible suspect and are continuing the investigation.

A male walking to his vehicle observed another male screaming on his cell phone and throwing his bike around in anger. As the witness entered his vehicle the male pulled out a knife as he glared at the witness. Police attended and located the male nearby where he was arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and breaching his conditions. The male who was from Red Deer also had an outstanding warrant and was remanded into custody.

September 13, 2021

Police were contacted regarding a suspicious vehicle parked at Peavey Mart. The vehicle was determined to have been stolen from Wetaskiwin.

Police received a 911 call from a male when his 2021 Ram 3500 was stolen from the Save On Foods parking lot. The vehicle fled out of the city at a high rate of speed and Police are trying to locate the vehicle and identify the suspect. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the key fob inside.

Police attended a disturbance at a residence on 48 street in the 4800 block. The female drove away in a vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated. The driver failed a roadside screening test and was issued an immediate roadside suspension and her vehicle seized. A short time later a second complaint was received of a female again causing a disturbance at the residence. The same intoxicated female was arrested to prevent further breach of the peace.

Police were dispatched to an address on 54 street in the 4900 block where two people were buzzing to get inside a building. Police located the male and female and determined that the male had a no contact condition. The male was arrested and charged with breaching his conditions.

September 12, 2021

An east end business reported that a 2007 GMC Sierra and dump trailer had been stolen overnight. Police are investigating the theft.

A landlord who was cleaning out a previous tenant’s suite contacted Police after locating a valuable item. Police are attempting to determine if the property is stolen and locate the owner.

Police attended a residence after a male was throwing items around. The male was cooperative and agreed to leave the home.

Staff at a downtown business contacted Police to report a fight in their parking lot. Police attended but the male was not located.
