Fort Vermilion RCMP seek assistance to identify Break and Enter suspects

Fort Vermilion, Alberta – (Sep 19, 2021, 3:20 PM) Fort Vermilion RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying break and enter suspects.

On July 27, 2021 at approximately 3:35 pm, Fort Vermilion RCMP were dispatched to a report of a residence that had been broken into overnight on Township 1094 in Mackenzie County. A Sithe was used to force open the window to the residence causing damage to the frame. Suspects entered inside and ravaged through miscellaneous items. Multiple out buildings were accessed, as well as an attempt to steal a vehicle on the property was made.

The following are some of the items taken:

· Samsung 32” Flat Screen Television

· 4 – High valued hunting knifes

· 2 – Victor Bear Traps, Large sized

Trail camera footage was obtained of the suspects who are described as; One male wearing a grey mask, black hooded sweatshirt with hood on, wearing red slippers, black socks and black jogging pants. The second suspect is identified as a male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and wearing a front facing saddlebag. Two unknown dogs were also observed following the suspects around the property.

“We believe the dogs observed may have belonged to the suspects”, says Constable Jihun Kim, Fort Vermilion RCMP. “The community members are greatly affected by this type of crime and we would very much like to speak to anyone that has information on this incident.”
