Edmonton Police seeking information regarding camper van arson in August

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s help in finding the individual(s) responsible for setting a camper van on fire in August, which subsequently sent a 63-year-old male occupant to hospital with serious injuries.

On Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 at approximately 4:50 a.m., Northwest Division patrol members responded along with Edmonton Fire Rescue Services to a fire involving a camper van that was parked near 113 Avenue and 94 Street.

A 63-year-old male who was located inside the camper van at the time of the fire, was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The fire has since been confirmed to be an arson, and EPS detectives are now investigating.
