Island Lake RCMP investigate aggravated assault at Red Sucker Lake

Mithkwamepin Thaakkahikan (Red Sucker Lake), Manitoba – On October 5, 2021, at approximately 1:10 am, Island Lake RCMP received a report of an assault that had occurred an hour earlier at a residence in Mithkwamepin Thaakkahikan (Red Sucker Lake). The victim was currently being treated at the nursing station.

The investigation has determined that three adult females, armed with weapons, forced their way into a residence and assaulted a 29-year-old female resident for a period of time. There was a young child in the residence when the assault occurred, but she did not suffer any physical injuries.

The 29-year-old female was taken to the nursing station with serious injuries and was subsequently transported to Winnipeg for further treatment.


Kyra Knott, 27, Nicole Knott, 37, and Rosanda Knott, 19, of Red Sucker Lake, were all arrested and have been charged with;

Assault while Choking

Assault with a Weapon

Breaking and Entering

Forcible Confinement

They were remanded into custody and RCMP continue to investigate.
