Westlock RCMP investigate an Airplane Crash at the Airport

Westlock, Alberta – On October 10, 2021, at approximately 11:10 AM, the Westlock RCMP responded to a plane crash at the Westlock Airport. A plane, with four occupants, flipped and sustained serious damage. There were four occupants of the plane at the time of the crash. EMS and fire responded to the scene, as well.

At this time, there is no information on the severity of the injuries to the occupants. Three occupants were transported by ground ambulance to a hospital. The status of the fourth passenger is not known at this time.

Transport Canada has been notified and will take carriage of the investigation. The cause of the crash is unknown and still under investigation.
