Fatal Leduc County collision claims 21-year-old male driver

Leduc, Alberta – Traffic flow has resumed in the area of Range Road 263 and Township Road 492 in Leduc County, Alta following a fatal two vehicle collision.

Preliminary investigation reveals a truck was travelling south bound on Range Road 263 and a SUV was travelling north bound on Range Road 263 when it appears the two vehicles collided at the intersection of Township Road 492 and Range Road 263.

The 21-year-old male driver of the SUV was declared deceased on scene. The 44-year-old driver of the truck was transported to a local area hospital by EMS with unknown injuries.

Leduc RCMP with the assistance of the RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate.

No further updates are anticipated.

Leduc RCMP on scene of fatal collision

Leduc, Alta. – Leduc RCMP with emergency services are on scene of a fatal two vehicle collision in the area of Range Road 263 and Township Road 492 in Leduc County, Alta.

Leduc RCMP, along with an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, are investigating the cause of the collision.

Traffic is expected to be diverted for several hours. Alternate travel routes are recommended
