Fort Saskatchewan RCMP seek assistance of public for arson investigation at the Fort Saskatchewan Historic Site

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – On Oct. 11, 2021, at 1:42 pm, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP received a report of a structure fire at the Fort Saskatchewan Historic Site on 100 avenue in Fort Saskatchewan.

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP attended the scene along with the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department. The Historic Site public washrooms suffered extensive damage and will remain closed as a result.

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP’s investigation, along with Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department’s investigation have determined the fire to be an arson.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.
