Winnipeg Police identify suspect in October 4th shooting

Winnipeg, Manitoba – On October 4, 2021, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service’s North District officers responded to the report of a male who had been shot in the area of Selkirk Avenue and Parr Street.

Officers located an adult male outside who had been shot. They administered emergency first-aid until emergency personnel arrived.

The victim in his forties was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. The investigation led to a scene at McKenzie & Parr. No arrests have been made.

Update:

The Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation and has since identified a suspect in this shooting. Investigators request the public’s assistance in locating Johnathon Robert Alexander GUNN, 28, of Winnipeg, who has a warrant for assault and firearm-related offences.
