Warrant issued after man charged with second degree murder; “Javon Moosomin should be considered armed and dangerous”

North Battleford, Saskatchewan – On October 21, 2021 at approximately 1:45 a.m., North Battleford RCMP were dispatched to a report of a shooting on the 1200 block of 108th Street in North Battleford.

A male was declared deceased at the scene. He has been identified as 33-year-old Boyd Firingstoney of Mosquito First Nation. His family has been notified.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crime Unit South is investigating. As a result of this investigation, Javon Moosomin has been charged with:

1 count, second degree murder, Section 235, Criminal Code

5 counts, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code

1 count, possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code

A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Officers are actively trying to locate Javon Moosomin and arrest him.

Javon Moosomin should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5’11” and 180 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
