Grande Prairie RCMP seek assistance in identifying Prairie Mall assault suspect

Grande Prairie, Alberta – Grande Prairie RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male responsible for assaulting a 24-year-old male at the Prairie Mall in Grande Prairie.

On Sept. 12, 2021 at 12:22 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP responded to an assault that occurred at the Prairie Mall located near 100 Street in Grande Prairie. The male victim was in the shopping center when he was reportedly approached by an unknown male suspect who then assaulted the victim.

The victim sustained serious but non life threatening injuries as a result of the assault.

The male suspect is described as:

· 5’8” to 5’11” tall

· Medium build

· Black/brown hair

· Dark complexion

· Tattoo located on right side of neck

· Last seen wearing a bomber jacket, black ball cap, and thick gold chain

The suspect left the area on foot with three unknown persons and may be associated to a red Pontiac convertible vehicle.

Police believe that this is an isolated incident.

RCMP are looking for any information that may assist in identifying the suspect.
