Nearly $400,000 in drugs, cash and property seized in Alberta

Calgary, Alberta – A two-month-long drug trafficking investigation led by our District One Operations Team has resulted in the seizure of nearly $400,000 worth of illicit drugs, various stolen property and other proceeds of crime.

Our investigation began in late August after we received intelligence from another investigation that a residence in the community of Panorama Hills may be involved in drug trafficking. Our investigators were then able to gather evidence of individuals demonstrating behaviour consistent with drug trafficking and as a result, two search warrants were executed.

On Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, a man driving a vehicle that travelled from Calgary to Brooks, Alberta, was stopped by police and a search warrant was executed. A large amount of illicit drugs were seized from the vehicle including approximately $160,000 worth of methamphetamine and $10,000 worth of fentanyl.
