Cochrane RCMP respond to roll over of semi-tractor trailer on Highway 22

Rocky View County, Alberta –Cochrane RCMP received a 911 call at 9:50 a.m., of a motor vehicle collision involving a passenger van, a semi-tractor and trailer on Highway 22 north of Range Road 280, and south of Range Road 281. With the combination of weather and road conditions the semi-tractor and trailer lost control while avoiding a collision with the van. Avoiding the collision resulted in the tractor trailer sliding into the ditch and rolling.

Fire, EMS and police are on scene. Highway travel is impacted while emergency services manage the scene and await equipment to remove the rolled semi-tractor trailer.

Traffic in the area will be impacted for several hours while traffic is slowed through one lane. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
