Peace Regional RCMP seeking public assistance with investigation into disturbing incident on Alberta Highway 2

Peace River, Alberta — On Oct. 22, 2021, at 2:45 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a vehicle that had been struck with an object while traveling eastbound on Highway 2.

Further investigation determined that sometime between 2:15 a.m.- 2:30 a.m., a truck was traveling westbound on Highway 2 near the airport and an object was thrown out their window. This object shattered the windshield of the complainant’s vehicle that was traveling eastbound. As a result, the driver of the vehicle has sustained severe eye damage.

The Peace Regional RCMP are asking the public’s assistance for any information in relation to this incident or identifying those responsible.
