Lethbridge Police traffic enforcement initiative results in three impaired driving charges

Lethbridge, Alberta – A one-night traffic enforcement initiative by Lethbridge Police on Saturday resulted in three impaired driving charges.

The Traffic Response Unit initiative, which was held Nov. 13, 2021, was one in a series where additional officers were brought in to address ongoing, problematic driving behaviours and vehicle equipment violations.

In addition to the three impaired driving charges, there was one Immediate Roadside Sanction suspension. There were 52 tickets issued for various Traffic Act violations, as well as two Graduated Driver Licence suspensions, two suspended drivers, and 10 vehicles were towed, including two for having no insurance.

Members also arrested one individual wanted on a Criminal Code charge.
