Lethbridge Police arrest two individuals in connection with motor vehicle collision

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged two individuals with multiple offences and seized drugs and weapons after receiving several reports of a motor vehicle collision Monday.

On Nov. 15, 2021, at approximately 12:50 p.m., police responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a vehicle had collided with an empty vehicle in the Centre Village Mall parking lot of in the 1200 block of 2 A Avenue North, and the two occupants in the subject vehicle appeared to be asleep.

Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was still running. Seized after a subsequent search of the vehicle and subjects was a small amount of fentanyl and cocaine, more than a dozen unknown prescription pills, three knives, pepper spray and a collapsible baton.

Robert McPherson, 44, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, six counts of failure to comply with undertaking conditions, and failure to comply with a release order. He was also issued tickets for several traffic violations and was released for a scheduled court appearance on Dec. 9. 2021.

Taren Dalrymple, 39, of Coaldale, is charged with three counts of failure to comply with undertaking conditions and was released for a scheduled court appearance on Dec. 2, 2021.

No one was injured as a result of the collision.
