Lethbridge Police charge three in connection with traffic stop, seizure of methamphetamine

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged three individuals and seized drugs and weapons following a traffic stop Tuesday.

Police stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of 3 Avenue North at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 16, 2021. The driver was arrested on outstanding warrants and a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 61.2 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $2,400, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, eight knives and a canister of pepper spray.

Stewart Chasse, 37, Tyler Seaborn, 31, and Nevada Vander Meer, 27, all of Lethbridge, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Vander Meer was also charged with obstruction and two counts of failure to comply with an appearance notice.

All remain in custody while awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
